Turkey Day Tumbles

I've had a cold for a couple of days, but felt well enough to go on bike ride this afternoon.

A couple of months ago, or so I rode the newly completed Mts. to Sea trail here in Orange County.

Before I wrote about the experience there were 2 things I needed to do, but have not had the time.

1. Go, and do an alternate stretch of the route, that people with road bikes MUST take.

2. Do a return route of my choosing for those who wish to do it,  meant especially for  those with cars, instead of taking the bus back to their car.

Today I did the 1st.

Then it was a zigzag thru portions of Tustin, Santa Ana, and Orange, to my 1st ride thru a 2 mile bike trail through a Regional Park close to my home.
The East Entrance of the park route does an abrupt down slope that, if you are not careful, even at slow speed, you will take a fall on.
I have the bruises, bloody elbow, and broken odometer, to prove it. ;-D
The ride thru the park is nice, but at the west exit, near Main Place Mall, there is a nasty rise in the concrete that, again, even if going slow, and you don't know it's there, and don't go around it, you take could a header.
I have the flat tire, and more bruises, to prove it. ;-D
I walked my bike a 1/2 mile to catch the last bus home just in time.
After a shower... Dinner Awaits! ;-D
