Guns do not kill Cyclists, People firing them just try to
Australian bicyclist, Miss Boffin, of Roadkill on Two Wheels, claims to be "cynical, sometimes hypocritical, and doing my best to die on a bicycle."
Somehow, goal to the contrary, I don't think she wants to be in the position of the cyclist in THIS story:
OK, this one really takes the bloody cake.
Imagine this: it's a beautiful day outside, the sun is shining and you decide to enjoy the morning by taking your bike out for a spin on one of the excellent bike tracks in this city. You're riding along not a care in the world and soaking up the sun and feeling the wind rush over your body. A couple of hours later you're lying in the emergency theatre having a .22 calibre bullet removed from your collapsed lung because some lunatic thought your life was worth squat. That's exactly what happened in Melbourne today, on the Merri Creek trail just near Fitzroy. A female cyclist was shot in the chest at around 9:30am while she was out riding her bike, minding her own damn business.
"Accident" my ASS!
