A Kind Word from Share the Road
I received the following the other day:
Kiril,
I want to personally thank you for all your support for Share the Road, on
your Blog and on your website. Without people like you Share the Road would
not have gained the signatures it has received already, or even reach its
goal of 7,500!
Best Regards,
Michelle Kashima

Very cool! ;-D
Without people like Michelle, and her comrades, who somehow have the time to put their knowledge to use in the cause of Bicycling, efforts like Share the Road would never get off the ground.
I am just doing what I can to spread the word.
Over the past few months since my report on the Back Bay, and on the plans for a new trail in Costa Mesa, I've been thinking of joining the OC Wheelmen, or the Bicycle Club of Irvine, and the Ca. Bicycle Coalition (CBC).
As longtime readers know, long before I was a Blogger, back when I lived in Los Angeles County, in the late 90's, and 1st part of this century, I was briefly a member of the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition, and then the Los Angeles Wheelmen Bicycle Club.
I really enjoyed the experiences, especially the Bike Rides I went on.
It's time to try to get more involved again, and get out, time permiting due to a 6 day work week, and meet other cyclists like me in my community.
So the other day, after writing my 2nd piece on Share the Road, I sent in applications for membership to OCW, and CBC.
